How to use the site
Inspired by the Trouble Tree fable, TakeMyTroubles is where you freely release your troubles (the problems and thoughts that make you feel sad, angry, anxious, confused, frustrated, guilty, envious). You release your troubles anonymously.
Simply releasing your troubles, you begin to feel better. Your message is sent out to the world where someone is listening. Someone may respond to your message with empathy, wisdom, or nonsense.
Amazingly many troubles are magically solved here, just by releasing them. But others need your action. Use the Resources section for suggestions, links, and materials to work through your troubles. Listen to the responses you receive, the interactions you have with others. What are you now hearing as a result of sending your troubles out there?
How To Use TakeMyTroubles and get the most of it.
Post and let go: Post your own troubles, problems, difficulties, annoyances, things that are weighing you down, preventing you from enjoying more of life. The process of writing it down will help you formulate the situation. TakeMyTroubles is about making the first step in making your troubles go away. Well it’s actually about the 3rd step. The first two you have already done in your head. You first thought of the idea, then acknowledged the idea and wanted to take it to the next level, explore it or work toward making it a reality. This is where TakeMyTroubles helps. Release your troubles into the TakeMyTroubles universe. Writing it down makes it more real. After you write it. speak it out loud. Now you have thought about it, acknowledged it, wrote it, and spoke it. You have just used three of your five senses to experience this thought – tactile (typing), seeing (the words on the screen), hearing (the words you speak). Image the smell and taste of it. Now send it. Your trouble now has a life of its own. Others may receive your anonymous thought and choose to make comments. Some may be helpful, others may not. How you react is up to you. It is your choice how you perceive the feedback. Then it’s your choice on what to do next.
