Yes. You must be registered and signed-in to write and send your troubles.

When private is marked “yes”, your trouble is not shared with anyone. Private enables you to completely express yourself. But you elect to keep the trouble private, to yourself, because of any reason such as due to the extreme sensitive nature of your trouble or due to your sensitivity of others seeing your trouble. Later, if you wish, you can edit your trouble and change private to “no”, allowing others to see your trouble and rate and comment on it.

A trouble rant is not shared with others. A rant is another form of private. A rant is where you express your raw feelings about a trouble. A rant may include inappropriate language and tone that does not conform to the Community Guidelines. A rant enables you to “get it off your chest”, but without offending anyone (since it is not shared). Later, after you have “cooled down”, you may want to express the same trouble but in a way that follows the Community Guidelines. This way, you can get feedback (comments and ratings) from others to help you through your trouble.

In your trouble, select “yes” for Private or a Rant. Both these settings do not publish your entry. You can edit these settings in your trouble in My Account.

Registered and signed-in members can write comments to a trouble. Please see the Community Guidelines for appropriate comment behavior.
